Located in Guanajuato state, 165 miles northeast of Mexico City and 60 miles from the state capital, Guanajuato, the city of San Miguel is located within Mexico's hilly central highlands. San Miguel de Allende is culturally diverse with a population of 62,034 of which 8,000 are foreign residents. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008, San Miguel de Allende is a popular destination for Mexicans, Americans, Europeans and people from around the world.

Centro Educativo Naciones Unidas is a private non-profit institution offering a bilingual education from Elementary School to High School. The school opened its Elementary School section in the fall of 1999; Secondary in 2003, and High School in 2012. Centro Educativo Naciones Unidas Elementary and Middle School are accredited by Secretaría de Educación de Guanajuato and High School by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico UNAM.
